BROOKSHIRE - Rudy J. Durda, 90, of Brookshire, formerly of Goliad, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was born November 8, 1924 in Waelder to the late Frank Joseph and Julia Silinger Durda.
Rudy was a member of the Methodist church and was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from the US Soil Conservation Service after a long career.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Ron) Schulgen; grandchildren, Seth and Beau Schulgen, and Leah Pekar; and great-grandchildren, August, Kade and Sophia.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 am at Glendale Cemetery in Goliad, with Pastor Wesley Craig officiating. Burial will be held with military honors with American Legion Post #193.
