Notes: Sister Mary Amarella of the Order of St. Francis, died Thursday morning in St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, Ill. She was 72. The former Esther Reardon, she was born and reared in Cleveland and was graduated from South High School. She entered the Franciscan Convent at Lafayette, Ind., in 1908. She taught in many schools of her order in Indiana, New Mexico and Illinois. She observed her golden jubilee in 1958. Surviving Sister Amarella are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Smith of Lakewood and Sister Mary Ethelreda, O.S.F., of Hammond, Ind.; and two brothers, Leo and Harry Reardon of Cleveland. Services will be Monday in Mount Alverno, the Mother House of her order in Mishawaka, Ind.
