One of the early pioneer families who settled in Rock Falls Twp, Cerro Gordo Co IA was the Paul Jens Siewertsen and twin brother Gerhardt Andreas Siewertsen w/ wife Catharine and four daughters, Anna, Johanna, Hattie and Augusta came from the norther part of Germany (historically Denmark). Later born to them were two more daughters, Dora and Matilda and a son, Julius.

As the years went on the children left home except Julius. In the year 1908 on Feb 25 he was united in marriage to Johanna WITT in Mason City IA. He stayed on the farm until his death in 1930. To this union were born six sons: Herbert, Wilbert, Paul, Erwin, Julius and Robert. Also two daughters: Leona and Irma. The family remained on the farm after his death in 1943.

At this time Erwin and his wife Cornelius farmed there until 1951 when the farm was sold. To this union was born a son, Maynard and six daughters: Venita, RosaBeth, Idona, Martha, Dvona and Olene.
