ADDINGTON , JOHN EDWARD - age 71 of Maryville, passed away Monday afternoon, June 12, 2000 at UT Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith; retired from ALCOA & member of the 25 year club; former officer of the Maryville City Police Department; veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict; preceded in death by parents, Stephen G. & Kitty Addington ; sister, Juanita Addington ; brother, Robert Lee Addington . Survivors: wife, Delores Addington ; daughter & son in law, Vickie & Bob Howard, Cleveland; son & daughter in law, Joe & Michelle Addington , Maryville; grandchildren, Jason Howard, Jennifer Douglas, & Justin Addington ; great grandchildren, Lexi & Zane Douglas; several nieces & nephews. Family & friends will meet 11 a.m. Thursday June 15, 2000 at Grandview Cemetery for graveside service & interment, Rev. C.A. Moses officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
