Annie was born in Bruceville, Texas, to the late Edgar and Janie McClain. She lived most of her life in the Waco area. Annie Ruth loved God, church, family and friends dearly. She knew no strangers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Durward "Dude" Ruff, on Feb. 22, 1986; sister, Neleen Gassaway; and brothers, Charles McClain and Clester McClain.
Annie Ruth is survived by her son, Rick Ruff and wife, Debbie, of San Marcos; grandchildren, Dana Ruff-Dean and husband, Spencer, McClain Ruff, Lainey Holland and husband, Cory; great-granddaughter, Harper Holland; many beloved nieces and nephews, especially Susan Smith who was always there for her; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arvis and Jackie Walters; and many loving and faithful friends.
