Birdie Louise Nelson Fulford 83, of Topton, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Valley View Care Center in Andrews.

She was a native of Cherokee County and a member of the Red Marble Baptist Church in Andrews. She was the owner and operator of the Topton Drive-In Restaurant for many years. She was the daughter of the late Wil­liam Hampton and Sally Holloway Nelson.

Surviving are two daughters, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and sev­eral nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Red Marble Baptist Church in Andrews. The Rev. France Postell officiated.-Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were David Holloway, Eddie Holloway, Roger Holloway, Harold Holloway, Tommy Holloway and Mike Matheson. Honorary pallbearers were Dillard McMahan, Gene Rhinehardt and Isarel "Bubba" Spell.

Townson Rose Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
