Obituary Excerpt--74, of Bruceton Mills, died Dec. 10, 1982, in Monongalia General Hospital. He was born Jan. 9, 1908, at Bull Run, s/o the late Torbe and Sarah Shaffer Eavenson. He was a retired coal miner. Surviving are one son, Robert A. Eavenson of Bruceton Mills; five daughters, LuWilla Boring, Gladys Wilson and Hazel Knotts, all of Kingwood, Patty Barlow and Norma McKinley, both of Tunnelton; one brother, James Eavenson of Morgantown; four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Drummond of Morgantown, Mrs. Louise Criss of Dellslow, Mrs. Nettie Byrd and Mrs. Emma Taylor, both of Haywood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Pearl Gidley Eavenson, on Nov. 20, 1974. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown. -- T.A. Library Misc. Dominion Post Obits.
