Lorraine D. “Sis” Smith, of Hanover, entered into Heavenly rest August 18.

She was the daughter of the late Raymond P. and Mary E. Small Sanders.

Mrs. Smith was retired from Utz Potato Chip Company, Hanover, and was also employed with United Cerebral Palsy. She was a 1948 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, in McSherrystown. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Conewago Fire Company, and the Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, where she was a Special Eucharistic Minister.

She was the wife of Robert E. Smith for 24 years and surviving, in addition to him, are one daughter, Diane Weightman of Hanover; two brothers, Raymond P. Sanders Jr. of Fayetteville and Joseph A. Sanders of McSherrystown, and three sisters, Kathleen A. Sterner and Helen C. Sutphin, both of Hanover, and Dorothy M. Sanders of Glen Rock.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Sanders.
