Alma E. Caines, 96, of Summerville died Thursday, December 20 at a local hospital. Born in Charleston to the late George and Mary Sawadski Buero. She was married to the late Emory E. Caines.
Mrs. Caines attended Charleston County Public Schools. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Thomas of Summerville, a brother, Harold I. Buero of James Island, a granddaughter, Beth and Bud Warren of Summerville, and great-grandson, William Warren of Summerville and was predeceased by grandson, Tony Thomas.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Friday, December 21st at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 150 Wentworth St.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22nd at the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Flowers may be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
