Bernette J. Arp, 77, of Blair died Aug. 8, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital in
Blair.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at First Lutheran Church in
Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Campbell-Aman
Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Bernette Jean Arp was born Sept. 27, 1926, at Bennington, to Henry and Meta (Kahler)
Arp.
She married Willie Arp on Oct. 5, 1946, at Grace Lutheran Church in Omaha. Following
graduation from high school, she worked at Mutual of Omaha until starting a farming
career north of Kennard. She was very involved with the Washington County Republican
Party and the Papio Valley Preservation Association. She enjoyed flower gardening
and needlework.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Bonnie Arp of Blair;
daughter, Diane Arp of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandsons; a brother and
sister-in-law, Alvin and Lorraine Arp of Griswold, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Willie in October of 1987.
