Claudine is one of 9 children of James Ammon Hancock and Alice Jean "Lollie" Williams Hancock. Birthdate is likely be wrong as it has been "passed down" through the family (but is incompatible with date of earlier sibling... and census records suggest it could be as late as 1888). According to her granddaughter, Claudine was known as "Dear". She was a suffragette, marching in protests, and was arrested for it (while her husband was a prominent local attorney.) She lived in a residence called Great Oaks home (or something to the like) prior to her death. She was a devout Christian Scientist and gave detailed instructions for her funeral service, including that her long-time practitioner would read the service. Unfortunately that person had died several months earlier, and a last minute substitution had to be made. It was a private service attended only by her sons Jim & Murat Jr, and daughter-in-law Ann.
