Roy Babcock of Agency Dies

Roy E. Babcock, 73, resident of Agency, died early this morning at a St. Joseph hospital. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Agency Christian Church and a board member of that church. He was also a board member of the Agency Cemetery.

Mr. Babcock is survived by his wife, Lillian: two daughters, Mrs. Helen Joy William, Dearborn, and Mrs. Minnie Lou Miller, St. Joseph; three sons: Gene Babcock, Agency; Roy Dale Babcock, Kansas City, and Homer Babcock, Baltimore, Md; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Phyllis Flinchpaugh, Bartlesville OK; Mrs. Violet Harris, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Charlotte Brinton, Cedar Rapids IA; four stepsons, Donald Nelson, St. Joseph; Barry Nelson, Malta Bend MO; Raymond Nelson, Shawnee Mission KS, and Lloyd Nelson, St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Audrey Manville, St. Joseph; two brothers, Paul Babcock, Agency, and Oren Babcock, Houston TX, 19 grandchildren; one great grandchild, 24 step-grandchildren, and 18 step-great-grandchildren. A son, Virgil Babcock, preceded him in death.

The body is at the Heaton-Bowman mortuary.
