Rev. Charles A. Hayden, pastor of the Winthrop street Universalist church of Augusta, conducted the funeral ceremonies of the late Mrs. Augustus Bailey at the house on School street, Tuesday afternoon. The funeral was attended by a large gathering of friends and was a fitting tribute to the memory of the deceased. The floral offerings were unusually varied and beautiful. Wm. G. Ellis, Frank S. Maxey, George B. Barstow, and Charles H. Gray served as pallbearers. The interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
