Eugene "Gene" Louis Coscia, 95 of Germantown went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 22, 2012.

Born on October 14,1916, he spent his early years in Frasier, truck farming and running a dairy farm. He was in the first group from the Memphis area to be drafted in World War II. He was stationed most of his time in the army in North Africa as a supply sergeant.

Gene married Agnes Marie Goodwin November 6,1942 while on leave from the Army. He moved his family to Horn Lake, Mississippi in 1951 to Gayoso Farms, one of the largest dairies at that time in the Mid-South.

In 1963, he and two of his brothers, Vick and Joseph, started Specialty Feeds, Inc. to manufacture dog food.

Gene was in charge of maintenance, trucks and delivery. He loved to personally deliver the dog food so that he had the opportunity to interact with their many customers. Gene held many different titles at Specialty Feeds , the last of which was Chairman of the Board.

Gene was a life long member of the First Assembly of God Church of Memphis. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Gene Coscia Baily (John C.) , Brenda Marie Coscia Lewis Davis (Michael E.); grandchildren, Antony Coscia Baily (Krista), Tara Rene Timms, Nicole Marie Lewis Willis, Jack "Trace" Schultz Lewis III (Christy); great-grandchildren, Riley Grace Baily, Elijah John Baily, Kaitlyn Rene' Grizzard, Blake Alexander Louis Adams, Ethan Alexander Louis Adams, Julian Ashton Clark, Chloe Nicole Willis, Hayden Jack Lewis Hale, Jack Michael Lewis; siblings Dave Coscia, Joseph Coscia and Elizabeth "Bessie" Coscia Brock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Goodwin Coscia, a grandson, John Coscia Baily, his parents, Joseph Coscia, and Lena Robilio Coscia, a brother, Vick Coscia, and a sister, Pauline Coscia Ward.

All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
