Addis traveled to and from St. Petersburg, Russia several times between 1901 and 1920 - living much of that time in St. Petersburg - working as a machinist and in factory management for the Pneumatic Tool Company. He met his second wife, Glekeria Karpova while there, and brought her with him when he returned to the U.S. to live in Michigan.
Although this family grave marker in Evansville, Wisconsin, includes the name of Addis Emmett Albertie, he is actually buried with his second wife at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth, Wayne County, Michigan. (See Find A Grave #10948209 for that marker.)
