Mrs. Derochie's illness extended over a period of about three years during which time she had sought treatment in various hospitals. She had been confined to the Malone hospital for a little over a week.
The deceased was a native of Chasm Falls, the daughter of the late Vital and Victoria Fayette, her maiden name having been Nettie M. Fayette. She was married to Mr. Derochie about 48 years ago and he predeceased her in April 1936.
For some time Mr. and Mrs. Derochie made their home in Fort Covington the house now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McCann, and had many friends here. They later moved to Malone. Mrs. Derochie was a member of Notre Dame Church, Malone. and of the Rosary society of the church. She is survived by two sons Floyd and William Derochie of Malone; four grandchildren, Beatrice Marion, Shirley and John Derochie, all of Malone.
