Rosa Mae (Chism) Blasdel, 82, left her earthly life at 7:13 on Friday, June 22nd at Medicalodge of Dewey. The daughter of James E. and Genevieve L. (Needham) Chism, Rosa Mae was born July 13, 1929 in Conway Springs, Kansas.
In 1952, Rosa Mae received her Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Music Education from Wichita University. On March 23, 1957, Rosa Mae and Dick Blasdel were united in marriage in Anthony, Kansas. They owned and operated the Flower Patch in Davis, Oklahoma from 1977 to 1995. She pursued her two loves of music and floral design throughout her life. Rosa Mae played the organ and piano in various churches for over 60 years as well as giving private lessons for over 20 years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and P.E.O. Rosa Mae was a wonderful cook (specializing in pies), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She had a love for pets and growing beautiful flowers.
Rosa Mae was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Genevieve L. Chism.
She is survived by her husband; daughter and husband; son and wife; three siblings and their spouses; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and three nieces and two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday at the Stumpff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday at the East Cross United Methodist Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma with Rev. Chad Perceful officiating. Interment will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville.
