ROLLING FORK—C.E. "Cinc" Alford, 68, died Wednedsay at Delta Medical Center in Greenville. Services are 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church with burial in Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan. Boone-Wells Funeral Home of Greenville is handling arrangements.
Mr. Alford worked for Staple Cotton Corp. for 42 years, and retired as manager of its Rolling Fork office in 1982. He was a communicant of the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church, having served as senior warden, vestryman and treasurer. Born in Longwood, he attended public school in Glen Allan and Rolling Fork and business school in Jackson. He was active in the Vicksburg Community Concert Association.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Elisa A. Cook of Rolling Fork; son, C.E. Alford III of Rolling Fork; sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Robinson of New Roads, La.; and three grandchildren.
