Kenneth M. Alves, 71 years old, died on June 2, 2010 in Life Care Center of Raynham following a period of failing health. He was born in Taunton son of the late Manuel Texeira and Annie Alves. He was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1957 and for over 45 years he has been employed as a calendar operator at Esterline Corp in Taunton. He has spent his entire working career in the same building working for the former companies: GE; Haveg, Haskon, and Burke Industries before Esterline. He was a communicant of St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton. He lived all types of music, spending time with his family and being an ardent New York Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Beverly (Miranda) Alves and two daughters Kelly Alves of Raynham and Kendra Alves of Taunton and he was the father of the late Kenneth Alves, Jr and Bruce Alves. Ken is the grandfather of Kelly, Justin, Michael, Tigan, Kali, Kevin and DeAnte. He is the brother of Bruce Texeira, Robert Texeira and Barbara Duarte all of Taunton, Jack Cravalho, Caesar Oliver, Daniel Oliver, Sandra De Giroloma, Sunny Shakoor all of CT and the late Gerald Avellar and Gene Texeira. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. ( Route 138 South) Taunton on Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Andrew the Apostle Church at 11AM. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
