Funeral services for Alexander Campbell Howard, 54, of the Buck Creek Community were held March 20, at 3:30 p.m. from the Wellington Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Guy N. Wood officiating.

Mr. Howard died at his home March 10. He was born April 19, 1882 at Bonita, Texas, the son of J. A. and Ellen Howard and was fifty-four years, eleven months of age at the time of his death.

After having been to town Mr. Howard suffered a heart attack. Death was instantaneous. He was engaged in farming at this time, and had lived in the county five years, gaining a wide circle of friends and acquaintances during his residence here.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. A.C. Howard, five daughters and four sons, Faye, Marie, Dorothy, Marjory, Norma Jean, Capper, Sidney, Paul and Dave, all of Wellington; three brothers, Will Howard, Bonita; Claude Howard, Nocona; Dewey Howard, Whitesboro; and two sisters, Mrs. P. P. Starr, Gainesville; and Mrs. John Latham, Bonita.
