Son of James & Betsey Atkinson ae 22 yrs 9 mos. James might be the son of David Atkinson, born in Winthrop to James and Isabella Atkinson, about 1790. David m. Jane Davis of Readfield about 1815. David and family moved to Chesterfield in 1820. This James would be about the right age to be their son.

From Sept. 13 to Sept. 24, 1814. Raised at Industry. In camp at Waterville, awaiting orders.
