Born in St. Louis, MO on Feb 2, 1920 and died in Los Gatos, CA on May 31, 2012. Daughter of Norton and Dorothy Livingston Schuyler. Predeceased by Hubert B. Allen, her former husband, and her siblings, Patricia Bowring and Philip L. Schuyler. Survived by her children, Patricia (Robert) Sparacino, Hugh Allen, and Stuart Allen and grandson Peter Sparacino. Also survived by extended family and friends.

Dal graduated from Washington University, St. Louis in 1941, Phi Beta Kappa. She was a reporter for Women's Wear Daily, worked for the CAA as an air tower and center controller in Des Moines and Denver, served 2 years in Italy and Germany with the American Red Cross during World War II, and was an executive secretary at Applied Materials. She loved to hike with the Sierra Club, ski, and travel with her sister to exotic destinations. She was honored to participate in the launching of the Montalvo Service Group, St. Andrew's Church, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Day School.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Saratoga on July 26 at 2 pm. Her ashes will be interred in the family plot, Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Louis on October 10. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Andrew's Episcopal School, Harry McKay, P.O.
