Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2009 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Purcell officiating. Burial will follow in Hamby Cemetery.
Mr. Bakeman was born November 16, 1923 in Dowagiac, MI the son of the late Kenneth and Gladys Booth Bakeman. Bernard served in the US Army during WWII. He was a retired manager from the furniture department at Cayce Yost. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Ethel Marquess Bakeman of Hopkinsville, KY, a daughter, Judy Bridges of Hopkinsville, KY; a twin brother, Burton Bakeman of South Bend, IN; a grandson, Jason Bridges of Hopkinsville, KY
