Mrs. Cannon was one of the early settlers of Manitowoc County and has resided in Maple Grove for nearly half a century. She was about 76 years of age at the time of her death.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James Shehan, a son-in-law and seven grandchildren. As Father Casey said in the funeral sermon, she was one of the old land marks of catholicity. She was always a communicant of her beloved church and met her death with the calm trust in her Savior that was born of pure, Christian faith.
The funeral took place Friday from St. Patrick’s church and was one of the largest seen here for some time. Rev. Father Casey officiated.
