John "Max" Ardary

John Max Ardary, of Woodstock, passed away on May 27, 2012. Born in Clearfield, PA on July 18, 1935, he was the youngest son of George Dole Ardary and Mae L. (Hummel) Ardary.

Max is survived by his wife, Gail R. Ardary; two children, Colleen M. Turner of Marietta and John Brian Ardary of West DesMoines, IA; sister, Jean Massey of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Reid Douglas Turner, Brady Max Turner and Parker John Ardary.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Cora V. Ardary and Louise Osterhout and a brother, Harry L. Ardary.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Floyd Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org) .
