George R. Parker III, age 60 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at his residence in Ringoes, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, son of Jean McCutcheon Parker of Raritan Township, NJ, and the late George R. Parker, Jr., he had resided in Flemington, NJ and Raritan Township, NJ most of his life.

A 1964 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School and a graduate of Rider University, he was President of The Parker Agency, a real estate and insurance business in Raritan Township, NJ until retiring due to health reasons. His grandfather had founded the agency in 1914 and he succeeded his father, George, Jr., heading it. His specialty was the real estate side. In recent years Parker became two divisions, insurance and real estate, which is called Century 21 Parker Real Estate.

He served with the United States Army from 1969-1972, serving over a year in Turkey.

Mr. Parker was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church; founding member of the Flemington Exchange Club; member of the Hunterdon County Board of Realtors; former trustee of the Flemington Public Library, and former member of the Juvenile Justice Committee, Flemington, NJ.

Surviving are two daughters, Gretchen Furlong of Raritan Township, NJ, and Kimberly Wills of Clark Summit, PA; a brother, Rick Parker of Hebron, OH; and two grandchildren, Parker and Sawyer Furlong.
