Roland U. Bley, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Longmont, Colo. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired carpenter and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; two daughters, Maryellen Bley of Longmont and Starla Martinez of Thorton, Colo.; two sons, Stephen Sterkel of Broomfield, Colo., and Timothy Sterkel of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two sisters, Margaret Tomich of Longmont and Betty Lapena of Commerce City, Colo.; one brother, Robert Bley of Longmont; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
