Maxine was born July 20, 1935 in Mangham LA and died June 3, 2012 at her home in West Monroe. She was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University and a retired accountant for Bancroft Bag Company.
Maxine attended First Baptist Church West Monroe, where she was an active member of the Agape Sunday school class. She previously served as Treasurer for Central Baptist Church in Monroe and Forrest Glade Baptist Church in West Monroe. A long-time volunteer at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, Maxine enjoyed being of service to others. Her ready smile, good humor, and even temper were a treasure to friends and family alike. A loving and wonderful mother and grandmother, her practicality and wisdom were of value to all who knew her. She will be most remembered by her love for her Heavenly Father and family, a legacy that will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Hoyle Crockett in July 2005.
Her survivors include son David H. Crockett Jr. and wife Suzanne Crockett; son Derek Crockett and wife Twila Crockett; daughter Diane Crockett Tippen and husband Clay Tippen; son Dwight Crockett and wife Michele Crockett; and grandchildren Joshua Crockett, Summer Crockett, Savanna Edwards, Ashlyn Edwards, Caleb Crockett, and Jason Crockett.
Pallbearers will be Randy Barnes, Danny Bignar, Skip Caissie, John Cook, Scotty Ingram, and Billy Loveland
