Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon over the body of William Hunter, 77 years old, a retired police officer, at his late residence, 2304 Catharine street.
The day on which Mr. Hunter died, Saturday, August 4, was the fifty-fifth anniversary of the day on which he was married and also enlisted in the Keystone Battery, Pennsylvania Volunteers, to serve during the Civil War.
Previous to his retirement from the police force several years ago, Hunter had been attached to the Twentieth and Fitzwater streets police station for twenty-nine years.
The funeral services will be attend by the Baux Lodge, No. 393, F. and A. M.: American Star Lodge, No. 405, I. O. O. F., and the Grant Post, No. 5, G. A. R. Interment will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery. The deceased is survived by a widow and three married daughters."
