Visitation is scheduled 4 to 9 p.m. today at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira for Nellie Blake, 93, a resident of Hope Nursing Home in Lomira.

Mrs. Blake died at 6:3 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 1983 at Hope Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ill., with the Rev. Melvin Chamblass officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Keenes, Ill.

Mrs. Blake was born Aug. 4, 1889 at Keenes, Ill., one of four daughters of John and Emma Newman Payne.

She married Charles Blake on Aug. 19, 1908 at Wayne City, Ill. Her husband preceded her in death in 1930. She was a member of Hudson Baptist Church in Hudson, Ill.

Survivors include two sisters, Bess Niequist of Fairfield, Ill. and Jewel Rhodes of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Helen Fritz of Hesperia, Mich., Marie Harris of Cherokee Village, Ark., and Lillie Russey of Jenks, Okla.; five sons, Sherman of Brownsville, Grant of Evansville, Ind., Paul of Normal, Ill., Robert of Hudson, Ill., and John of Lakewood, Colo.; 24 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson, a step grandson, two brothers, one sister and her husband.
