Former Roodhouse resident Michael Dean Alred, 49, of Spottsville, Ky., died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Ky., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Sept. 12, 1953, in White Hall, the son of the late Carl and Virginia (Tucker) Alred.

He is survived by two brothers, Robin Lynn Lawson of Kentucky and Jerry Lawson of Roodhouse; two sisters, Joyce Cooper of Brighton and Lila (husband Richard) Daum of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie Lee Lawson, Roger Dale Lawson and Galen Ross Lawson.

Mr. Aired was a construction worker.

Visitation was from noon Wednesday at Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Roodhouse, until funeral service time at 2 p.m. Burial was at Pine Tree Cemetery, near Patterson.
