Susan B. Werner Susan B. Werner, age 60, of Somonauk, IL passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center in Pittsburg, PA. She was born on October 28, 1949 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Harry and Harriette (Sarnecki) Bettis, Jr. Susan was united in marriage in April of 1972 to Mr. Wayne Werner and they spent the next 37 happy years together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Werner was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. Susan was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the National Ski Patrol. She was very active with hot air balloons and gliders. Susan also enjoyed horticulture. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Werner of Somonauk, IL; her children, Elizabeth (Christopher) Mullin of Homer Glen, IL and Christopher (Carrie) Werner of Sandwich, IL; her grandchildren, Alexander, Tyler, and Matthew Mullin, Mason Werner, and Dylan Snow; her father, Harry (Katrina) Bettis, Jr. of Boca Raton, FL; her siblings, Carolyn (Scott) Schaefer, Gregory Bettis, Andrew (Laura) Bettis, Amy (Peter) Wehner, Allyson (Bob) Mitchell, Leslie (Jeff) Schlesinger, Leo (Gabby) Cinko; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Harriette; and her step-mother, Alice. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Rt. 47 in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Erik Gauss, officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E.
