MATRIMONIAL MATTERS
In Fairview church, which she was mainly instrumental in building, at 10 yesterday morning, Miss Mamie Carter, oldest daughter of Mr. J. B. Carter, was married to Peter Straub, Jr. Rev. J. B. Crouch performed the ceremony, which was a beautiful one, and Mrs. Crouch presided at the organ. The whole church was handsomely decorated with evergreens while the altar was a veritable sea of flowers. The bride and groom stood under a floral arch during the ceremony, while over the heads of the man of God and Mr. Robert T. Lewis and Miss Minnie Straub, the attendants, hung a huge bell made of flowers and evergreens. After the marriage most of the large crowd partook of an elegant dinner at Mr. Carter's, after which Mr. and Mrs. Straub drove to Kingsville and took the train for Cincinnati, where they will remain a week or so. The presents received were numerous and costly, which gave partial evidence of the popularity of the pair. The bride, who is a handsome brunette, was becomingly attired in a blue traveling suit, with hat to match. She is a splendid young woman and the good she has done in the community in which she resided will live after her. Mr. Straub is a good business man and is liked by all who know him. He is a member of the milling firm of Carter & Straub and has the confidence of the community. The Interior Journal joins their legion of friends in wishing them both a happy voyage over the sea of life and a safe anchor on the other shore.
