BLACKSBURG – Annie Lee Goforth Dickson, formerly of Blacksburg, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, N.C.
Born in York County, she was the widow of John Lawrence Dickson and daughter of the late John F. Goforth and Katie Sheppard Goforth. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served for many years as a Sunday School teacher and Training Union leader. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dickson was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Dickson; brothers, Blease Goforth, Preston Goforth and Wilbur Goforth; sisters, Ione Goforth Wallace, Jessie Goforth Blackburn, Ida Mae Goforth McSwain and Evelyn Goforth.
Surviving are sons, David Lawrence Dickson, John Gilbert Dickson and wife, Beth, and Bobby Dickson and wife, Pat, all Blacksburg; a daughter-in-law, Linda Dickson of Gaffney; a brother: Elmer Goforth of Gastonia; three sisters, Elizabeth Greenleaf of Flanders, N.J., and Nan Kraft of Gastonia and Margaret Lane of Grover, N.C.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
