Harvey Lafayette Dyer was in the American Civil War. He was almost home from the South, when a neighbor shot and killed him. His was a story filled with tragedy.

************************
Mother's Name: Mary Robbins
Mother's Birthplace: Ark.

His son was Harvey Lee Dyer. He had two other children, A J Dyer and J J Dyer who were accidentally killed by their doctor. They were both very young, but not twins. They share a stone that looks like a stone for twins, but it isn't. It is barely legible, but it is 150 years old.

Some accounts say you were the child of Wiley Dyer and Nancy Woolbright Dyer. Other accounts say you were the 11th and last child of Baldy Dyer. It is possible that you were not a brother of James Harrison Dyer and Simpson Cash Dyer after all but perhaps a first cousin. At this point I have no way to prove or disprove that.
