Patsy Ainsworth, 72, of McGregor, went to be with the Lord, Friday, May 11, 2012. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at First United Methodist Church, 500 South Madison Street, McGregor with the Rev. Joe Chamness officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, McGregor. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Patsy was born in Baytown, Texas, to the late Robert "Bob" Hughes and Claudine (Dunaway) Burns. She was a 1958 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and later attended a medical secretarial school in Houston. On July 17, 1959, she married M.A. "Andy" Ainsworth at the First Baptist Church in Wooster, Texas. In 1966, they moved to McGregor where for 24 years, she assisted her husband in the McGregor Veterinary business as office manager. Patsy was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, playing the piano, and spending relaxing time on the beach.
Survivors include her husband, M.A. Ainsworth; son, Chad Ainsworth and wife, Stacy; daughters, Andrea Beasley and husband, Jay, Wendy Kucera and husband, Roger, and Brooke Wallace and husband, Rufus; grandchildren, Angie Marlin, Amber Lasater, Ty Croford, Kaley Zacharias, Tessa Croford, Jameson Beasley, Drew Zacharias, Alli Ainsworth, Madi Ainsworth, and Zachary Ainsworth; great-grandchildren, Jack Marlin and Kenzi Marlin; sister, Ann Burns; other family members and many friends.
