Mrs. Myrta McNary Smith, Haldane Street, Crafton, died Sunday, Jan 2, 1966 in the Angeles Nursing Home and Hospital, Pittsburgh. She had been ill for several years and was admitted to the hospital in September. Burn in Canonsburg, September 29, 1885, a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane Whitley McNary. Mrs. Smith was employed by the Canonsburg Daily Notes before her marriage. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Crafton. Mrs. Smith was active in the church as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the Crafton Women's Club. She was the widow of N.D. Smith, whom she married in 1911 in Canonsburg. Survivors are three sons, Robert J. Smith, Mountainview, California, Gerald G. Smith, Irwin and Don C. Smith, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There are nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ernest T. McNary and Curtis F. M. McNary, both of Canonsburg. One sister is deceased. Services will be held from the Griffith Funeral Home, Canonsburg January 6.
