Born September 5, 1899 in Clay township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late James Joshua and Elizabeth (Runk) McKim. She was married to Norman G. Bucher of Shirley Township on December 21, 1922 by the Rev. DeWitt Miller of the Huntingdon Church of the Brethren. He preceded her in death March 8, 1969.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Lee (Vera) Vaughan of Minnetonka, Mich., Janvier Bucher of Three Springs R.D., Mrs. John (Helen Louise) Beaver of Belleville. There are five grandchildren.
Also surviving are these brothers and sisters, David McKim of Mapleton Depot, Samuel of Mount Union, James of Shirleysburg, Mrs. Cecelia Lancaster of Shirleysburg, Mrs. Clara Lightner of Loysville, Mrs. Ida Edgin of Mount Union R.D., Mrs. Marjorie McCoy of Three Springs, Mrs. Freda Fix of Three Springs, and Mrs. Cordelia Madden of Orbisonia R.D. Three brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren at Shirleysburg ad served as a deaconess of the church. She had been a guest at the Brookline Manor Nursing Home in Mifflintown for the past 18 months.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 8 at 2 p.m. from the Ott funeral home, Orbisonia. The Rev. John Keiper, pastor of her church, will officiate and interment will be made in the Stone Church Cemetery at Germany Valley.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o’clock Saturday evening and until the hour of the services on Sunday.
