EDITOR COW BOY:

Sad to have to announce to our many friends the serious illness of Mrs. A. M. Dier, formerly of Hastings, Neb., and now of King, Neb., who has been seriously ill for the past three months, at the home of Mrs. H. V. Downing his (sic) eldest daughter. She has been suffering from neuralgia in the head, which has removed its course to the stomach and other parts of the body, causing deathly pain. That with feebleness of old age, we fear more serious results. The constant attention and nursing of Mr. and Mrs. Downing, calling in medical aid, doing every possible thing to relieve her suffering, but to no avail. Also the kind and loving attention and nursing of Mrs. Wm. Dier, her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maud Snyder, youngest daughter, and Andrew Dier, her youngest son and wife. She is still suffering in agony, yet still under medical treatment.

Summoned to Her Reward.

Mrs. A. M. Dier, whose maiden name was Ann Taylor, was born in Ireland January 6, 1837; came to America in 1850 united in marriage with A. M. Diew (sic), at Chicago, in 1873; died at her home near King, Nebr., February 5, 1910, aged 73 years and 1 month.

In the spring of 1883 the family located at Hastings, Nebr., where Mr. and Mrs. Dier continued to reside until October, 1908, when they came to Cherry county (sic), locating near King, where several of their children had preceded them.

About four years ago the deceased suffered an attack of neuralgia from which she has suffered continuously, regardless of the best medical treatment, and since last Thanksgiving day was confined to her bed.

She was a good woman, a kind and effectionate (sic) wife and mother and took more interest in her family than herself.

The remains were taken to Hastings, accompanied by those of the family who reside in this vicinity, for interment.
