Ila Iolene Whiteman, 71, of Bartlesville, died at 4:16 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Ila Iolene Whiteman was born October 31, 1940 in Geneseo, Illinois to Roger Allen and Trella Lucille (Collis) Wright.
She was raised and received her education in Avalon, Missouri and graduated Tina High School. Ila moved to Kansas City, Missouri and worked for the Hallmark Card Company for several years.
She was married to Howard Street in 1960 in Avalon, Missouri; he died in an automobile accident. Several years later she married Bill Whiteman. He also preceded her in death. Ila moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma after his death to be near family.
Survivors include her mothert; a sister; two nieces; one nephew and several great-nieces and nephews.
Ila was preceded in death by her father Roger Allen Wright; her sister Loretta Wright; two husbands Howard Street and Bill Whitemen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday May 12, 2012 in the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion. Services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
