Vlasta T. (Kubala) Majek, 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on April 20, 2004. She was born August 20, 1913 to Alouis and Barbara Kubala in Jarrell, Texas. Vlasta was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, KJCT, Alter Society, and Our Lady of the Rosary Maker. Vlasta was a rosary maker for the sick in hospitals and donated them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers, and one grandson. Vlasta is survived by her husband, John Majek, Sr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; her children, John (Kathy) Majek, Jr., Barbara Crout, Jerry (Martha Ann) Majek, Frankie (Patsy) Majek, and Mary Majek all of Corpus Christi, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a sister Mary Cernoch of Schlumberg, Texas. A special thank you to Florinda for all your help and support.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on April 22, 2004 with interment to immediately follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
