Bachrach, Franklin Allen – age 90, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, May 06, 2012. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. Before relocating to Knoxville, in 2003, Frank and his wife Carrie were residents of Melbourne Beach, Florida, Royersford, Pennsylvania, and Alpharetta, Georgia. After having served with pride, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army, during which time he served in WWII and Korea. Frank was in the WWII 6th Army Alamo Scouts, and was still an active member in the Alamo Scouts Association. He retired from General Electric after over 40 years as a manager in the Missile/Space Division. Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carrie Dalon Bachrach. He is survived by his son, Franklin A. Bachrach and wife, Carol, of Alpharetta, GA; son, Christopher F. Bachrach and wife, JoAnn, of Exton, PA; daughter, Deedy Loudermilk and husband, Gary, of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including, Tony Dalon and wife, Faye, of Knoxville. A graveside service will take place on Friday at 1:30 pm at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Lyons View. Military Honors will be provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Frank's name to Concord United Methodist Church, 11020 Roane Drive, Knoxville, TN 37934.
