Services for Vivian Tennison Hamilton, 91, Troup, are scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the Martin's Chapel Church of The Nazarene, Concord community, with the Rev. M.H. Klink and Johnny Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. Hamilton died Friday, April 13, 2012, at her residence. She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Gatesville to the late James William and Grace Ola Wornick Tennison. She married Forest Hamilton in Troup on Oct. 2, 1937. She was a member of Martin's Chapel Church of the Nazarene. For 18 years she and her husband operated East Side Texaco in Troup. For 25 years, she worked in nursing homes in Troup and Whitehouse. She loved to cook for her family and friends and taught Sunday school for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Hamilton, Feb. 4, 1995, after 58 years of marriage.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; two daughters and sons-in-law; a sister; three brothers; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her special caregiver.

Pallbearers will be Blake McElroy, Brandon Martin, Matthew Martin, Lance Hukill, Steve Martin, Scotty Martin, Justin Martin and Stanley Martin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 14.
