Russell Bassett was a son of Aaron and Elizabeth Knapp Bassett. He married Amy Jane Most 24 Dec 1882 in Muskegon, Michigan. According to his death certificate, Russell was a painter and apparently, he had an accident and ended up with an infection which caused his shoulder to be amputated. It states that he was buried in South Boardman Cemetery.

Russell's death certificate shows that the informant who signed it was named John Hanson. On the cemetery burial map, Block 3 Lot 13 has a plot owner of John Hanson listed. John's wife was Mary (Bassett) so this has to be where he was buried.

I walked the the entire block and there was no headstones found in Lot 13 at all.
