Confederate Soldier. Bridwell was a grocer living in Canon City, Colorado in 1880. At that time he was married, his wife's name was Barbara and she was born in Missouri. She died a year later. He outlived two more wives after that, Lulu who died in 1899 and Ella, born in Canada, who died in 1926. By 1920 he had become a real estate broker.
On May 1, 1864 he had enlisted in Warrenton Light Artillery Regiment of Virginia and served in Captain Utterback's company; the regiment surrendered on April 9, 1865 at the Appomattox Court House, Virginia.
