The funeral for Edna Lily Kraft Douglass, 83, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, will be at 10 Saturday in First United Methodist Church, Fargo, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 today in Hanson Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, and one hour before services in the church. She died Wednesday, June 7, 1995.
Edna Kraft was born December 1, 1911, in Ransom County, N.D. She grew up and graduated from high school in Enderlin, N.D. She worked from 1927 to 1952 as a legal secretary for Charles Bangert in Enderlin. On March 21, 1942, she married Orville Sumner Douglass in Enderlin. In the 1950's they moved to Circle, Montana, and they later moved to Fargo. She was secretary to the director of disaster relief for the American Red Cross in Fargo after the 1957 tornado. From 1957 to 1978 she was a secretary, then administrative assistant to the chairman of the natural science division at North Dakota State University. Her husband died in 1977.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (Patrick) Nagano, Morro Bay, California; and a sister, Alice Phipps, Birmingham, Alabama.
