Wakita – Services for William Clayton "Jake" Cavin, 77, longtime area farmer, will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the Fairview Christian Church at Wakita.

The Rev. Roger Stearns will officiate at the service and burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Wakita.

Arrangements are under the direction of the McNeil Funeral Service at Wakita.

Cavin died Sunday evening in an Anthony, Kansas, hospital.

Cavin was born December 28, 1905, at Tlevna, Kansas, and came to the Wakita area at an early age, spending the remainder of his life here.

Cavin and Eleatha Mae Tuttle were married August 1, 1940, at Wakita. He was a member of the Fairview Christian Church.

Survivors are his wife Mae of the home; a son, Jim Cavin, Wakita; a daughter, Ethel Hamilton of Anthony; four grandchildren; four sisters, Alta Scheier, Wichita, Kansas, Lena Jones, Doris Edsall and Wilma Seely, all of Wakita.

Memorials may be made to the Cookson Hills Christian School at Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The funeral home will serve as custodian of the fund.
