Anderson - Cecil Robinson, 67, Anderson, died November 30, 2006 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus, Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born November 2, 1939 in Allock, KY, and moved to Anderson in 1953 with his family.
He was a supervisor for 39 yrs with General Motors Corporation in Anderson, until his retirement in 1998. He was also a Madison County Deputy Sheriff in the late 1960's.
Cecil graduated from Anderson High School in 1958 where he was active in basketball, football and track.
He served in the United States Army
He is survived by his his wife of 47 years, Sharon Sue (Oldfield) Robinson of Anderson; two chldren, Kevin Robinson (wife: Deborah) and Serena Neff (husband: David) both of Anderson; eight brothers and sisters, Herman Robinson (wife: Bonnie) of Anderson, Vergie Poore (husband: Ridley) of Alexandria, Shirley Adams of Knoxville, TN, Wilma Hooten of Albany, GA, Sharon Green (husband: Rex) of Fairmount, Arminta Robinson of Anderson, Roseanna Whiteman (husband: Terry) of Alexandria, and Bobbie Spalding (husband: Rick) of Anderson; five grandchildren, Emily Shirley, Arieodne Shirley, Rose Shirley, Lucas Robinson, and Alexander Robinson, all of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
