Printed in the Monday, November 27, 1899 edition of The Daily Town Talk on page 4. "BROWNING. - In West Alexandria, La., on Saturday, Nov. 25, 1899, at 2:30 p. m., Mrs. M. E. Browning, aged 59 years. The deceased was ill for about a week before her death. She leaves a husband, three sons and one daughter. The daughter is Mrs. A. E. Moody, of Zimmerman, La. The remains were taken over the Texas & Pacific road to Baton Rouge for interment, where Mrs. Browning formerly resided. Mrs. Browning had resided in West Alexandria for seven years, Her husband and family have the sympathy of the community in their sad loss."
