The stones of Carrare marble which mark the graves of Josiah and Judith Hart were carved by their son Joel Tanner Hart (died in Florence, Italy in 1877 in 1860, while traveling to Richmond, Virginia for the unveiling of his great statue of Henry Clay, Joel Tanner Hart brought the stones from Florence, Italy and placed them at his parent's graves located about 3 miles south of Winchester on Hwy 15, then 1/4 mile east near his birthplace in Clark County.
